Remembering What Makes Us Human
In our rush toward algorithmic perfection, we're forgetting something essential.

Standing at the intersection of advanced technology and enduring human values, working to ensure we don't lose ourselves in the algorithms we create.
What We're Forgetting
The human experiences we're trading away for digital efficiency
Slowness & Reflection
The luxury of taking time to think deeply, to let ideas marinate, to savor moments instead of optimizing them.
Physical Presence
The warmth of human touch, the comfort of shared silence, the irreplaceable energy of being together in space.
Beautiful Imperfection
The cracks that let the light in, the mistakes that teach us, the vulnerability that connects us.
Serendipity
The joy of getting lost, the magic of unexpected encounters, the discoveries that come from wandering without purpose.
Deep Focus
The ability to lose ourselves in thought, to follow an idea to its depths without the ping of another notification.
Wonder
The childlike awe at the world's mysteries, before every question had an instant answer at our fingertips.
What Needs Remembering
The irreplaceable human elements worth preserving
Stories Across Generations
The wisdom whispered from grandmother to grandchild, the tales that shape us, the narratives that carry more truth than any dataset ever could.
Learning Through Failure
The messy, beautiful process of trying and falling, of picking ourselves up transformed. The growth that only comes through struggle.
Silence & Solitude
The creative wellspring of quiet moments, the insights that emerge from stillness, the self-knowledge found in being alone with our thoughts.
Human Intuition
The gut feelings that guide us, the knowing without knowing how we know, the wisdom of the body that no algorithm can replicate.
Communities of Struggle
The bonds forged in hardship, the support found in shared challenges, the deep connections that go beyond algorithmic affinity.
Why Remembering Matters
Technology should amplify our humanity,
not diminish it.
We stand at a crossroads. We can build systems that see humans as inefficient processors to be optimized, or we can create technology that celebrates what makes us beautifully, irreplaceably human.
The qualities that make us "inefficient"—our need for rest, our capacity for wonder, our messy emotions, our inexplicable creativity—these are not bugs to be fixed. They are the very essence of our humanity.
My work explores how we can build a technological future that preserves these essential human elements. One that values meaning over metrics, wisdom over data, and connection over mere communication.
My Approach
I believe the future of tech and AI lies not in replacing human capabilities, but in creating systems that understand their own limitations, honor diverse ways of knowing, and respect the physical and social worlds they inhabit.
The only question that matters is: How can we build technology that makes us more human, not less?
Let's Remember Together
If you're also working to preserve what makes us human—whether through technology, art, philosophy, or simply living with intention—I'd love to connect.
